Editorial Policy
This page describes the standards every article on Radiant Living Guide is written and reviewed against before publication.
Language and claims
- We use hedged, accurate language ("may help," "can be useful," "often," "generally") rather than absolute claims or guarantees. Skin responds differently from person to person, and our wording reflects that.
- We do not promise specific timelines, results, or outcomes for any ingredient or routine.
- Where research is limited, contested, or based on a small number of studies, we say so rather than presenting it as settled.
When we recommend professional care instead of a home approach
Articles covering prescription-strength treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding, severe or worsening acne, unusual or spreading rashes, changing moles or spots, or persistent irritation that doesn't improve include explicit guidance to consult a dermatologist or other qualified provider, not a home routine.
No fabricated authority
We do not invent statistics, studies, or institutional endorsements. Where we reference a scientific finding, it links to a real, checkable source. If we can't verify a claim, we either soften it to what's actually known or leave it out. See How We Review Skincare Information for the sourcing standard this applies in practice.
Independence
We don't accept payment to recommend, rank, or favorably review specific brands or products. Where Amazon affiliate links appear, they're clearly incidental to the content, not the reason the content exists, and never appear in a way that implies an endorsement stronger than what the article itself supports.
